Changes At Westshore Craftworks

November 30, 2006

In an email from Westshore Craftworks, they explained a couple of changes with their products.

First of all, we have some new iPod stand designs. I both play and
build electric guitars and one day as I looked at one of my guitars
sitting in its stand I thought, "I should make a stand like that for
iPods." Thus was born the new GS series.

The GS Series stands feature a lacquered hardwood base with a steel
wire bracket that facilitates all full-size iPods. And they work with
or without a case! The iPod is positioned such that your standard sync
cable can be used, making the stand a quasi-dock (the GS Series stands
do not work in conjunction with the Dock). And just like my guitar
stand, it has a tether that loops around the top of the iPod to secure
its position in the stand.

We currently have four different styles – two round bases, one in
glossy white lacquer and one in glossy black lacquer. We also have
glossy sunburst lacquer guitar base (looks similar to a Fender Strat)
and a glossy black lacquer Grand Piano. We’re considering other styles
as well – let us know what you’d like to see.

We still have our iDockCover stands that fit over the Apple Dock and
we’re excited to offer these new GS stands for all non-Dock owners.

Secondly, we have a new web site – PodStands.com . We’ve
sold that site, though it does have a link to our products at
Amazon.com)

Lastly, all our products are now made available for purchase through
Amazon.com. There’re links from our web site to the product listing
there. Come visit our new web site at http://www.PodStands.com and see what you think of our selection of iPod stands.
